Why does it still indicate: This registration has been SUSPENDED

I looked up a domain on the Nominet.org website and i got this message:

Why is this domain not available to register?

Someone is either buying that domain and the Nominet have suspended deletion or there is a problem with the renewal and Nominet are aware.

Could one of the reasons be it belonged to a company that has ceased trading and nominet have to hold it for the companies house people / administrator (whatever those guys names are) to decide what to do with it.

I've seen a couple, over the last few months

If a .co.uk is not renewed, and after pro-formas have been sent by Nominet to the Registrant, if they are not paid or the ISP does not renew the name it finally goes into Suspension (hence the WhoIs note). The ISP will be notified with a date the name will be deleted. (Usually about 60 days from the suspension notice date).

During the suspension period only the current Registrant/ISP can renew the name prior to it being deleted.

Hi,
Should not show as suspended if it has been renewed through your current registrar.
You should contact your provider.
