.asia values

So .asia landrush starts today...

I've got a few of these quietly sitting there hoping i dont get sucked into an auction, what do we think the value of premium .asia ' s is likely to be initially ? compared to .co.uk for example ?

Ive applied for several using domain monster - they worked out at �6.44 with discount code.

Value wise, i wouldnt have a clue - im a designer/developer more than a domain broker - i'm just quite interested in designing/building for a different market.

~ dreading any going to auction!

I've got about 20 applications in place. Mine are through GoDaddy though.
They have emailed me and said that the applications are in place and the landrush period is from 20/02/08 - 12/03/08 so people have between those dates to apply for the domains I want.

Is this true, does anyone else know?

If so then what was the point of pre-registration? I could have waited until 20 Feb myself and just placed the submissions normally.

If anyone has any information on the process then I'd be happy to hear it.

From what i can tell:

If you apply for the domain name between now and 12th march you get it on the 12th march if nobody else applies.

IF someone else applies the domain name is held in an auction after the 12th (possibly up until the 26th march).

... so in short, hope that you're the only applicant and dont register domains that are way too obvious until after the 26th march (at which point normal registrations apply).

... please correct me if i'm wrong!
