Christian Names

Was wondering what value is there in first names...

i.e Matthew, Philip, Luke, David or girls names, Molly, Alexandra etc?

I bought my daughter' name Rebekah, and am looking to buy some boy's names...

Thoughts anyone?

Cheers, Phil

Good value in any first name .co.uk domains.

Anywhere from £xxx - £xx,xxx depending on the name.

Multiowner is on a distinguished road

Smile First names

The dot co dot uk versions of first names were registered "at birth" by some of the big guns and are now virtually unattainable - being held for the long term although I imagine that a really big offer might get a response. There is a good and growing market in "possessives" - e.g. miriams.co.uk - this gives the email address as Miriam@Miriams.co.uk. Also available ( prices mid hundreds ) names with the suffix "place" - e.g. Fred@Fredsplace.co.uk. I got most of our family registered in this format - and also some friends.
I have followed the market in first names and things are hotting up in various countries- particularly rapid growth in Canada where it seems people are looking to have an email address as a status symbol - like personalised car number plates.
I have a sizeable portfolio of personal names Mainly with suffix "place" and these are receiving increasing attention. Downside - you can't park them profitably with google ads etc.

On that note of FredsPlace.co.uk I had a similar idea as I go SCUBA diving and the MAX depth for recreational diving is 30 meters I snatched.

30Meters co uk so you can have Fred@30meters co uk. So theirs a few options out there similar to what's mentioned on here if you can't get your name.

There's clear value there, but I prefer surnames. Two main advantages:

1. Natural. http://john.smith.com and email john@smith.com.
2. The whole family can use it. Leave it in your will to your kids, etc.
