....email..... for example, I emailed approximately 15 businesses relevant to a domain I own on Sunday, two have replied, including one who is definitely interested and we are now discussing the price (the tricky bit).......

It's good to hear that the 'direct marketing' approach works occasionally. So far all of my 'direct marketing' to potential end customers has gone nowhere. Any tips on structuring the email to get a better response? Thanks in advance.

..... no special formula, just simply tell the end user what you are offering and how it could benefit their business.......

Started to send e-mails.... actually felt like I am standing on a very thin line between Marketing and Spamming.

Because I always felt market mails are spam mails...

There's a big difference between sending a targeted email to someone you believe will have an interest in what you're selling (marketing), and blasting an offer out indiscriminately to every email in a database (spamming).

I think we all are not making many sales because, we are targeting fellow domainers than real end users.

yes i agree, this is definatley not spamming, but much more showing someone a real opportunity just for them. Also, I find that companies often really appreciate being told about the opportunity even if it's not for them this time. If you think about it, it makes them feel good that you've done your research.

but - i still can go into "sales mode" a bit with these emails, and would be great to exchange some ideas about what has worked and what hasnt worked to date.
