What's best do you think..Tell or not to Tell?

Just been thinking and wondered what everyone else thought.

You proberbly see me posting in the thread What's been reg'd this week

I post the fact I was researching and looking into the values of News domains and posted once i'd regged some.

Obviously I missed a few but got the ones I wanted, people then took on the idea and reg'd some I had missed.

So my question is.. In me releasing a idea for domains which was river named news domains. (e.g. TrentNews co uk)

Is it better because.

All the other available's are taken and puts the value up because none are left.

Missed a oppertunity later on when I have another think and search around. (I wasn't that fussed TBH)

I know some domains need to be kept under wraps if its a certain niche but of this kind I do think it worth letting others know.

I have a mixed opinion

some I like to tell, but others I prefer not to tell.

I like the way thinking "if all other extns are taken, it puts the value up"

You do give some goo idea's though
