Is Domaining the New antique fair/Car boot challenge?

I have just reg'ed a couple of domains that could (possibly - with a lot of good luck!) be absolute winners in the future, they are:

HydrogenHybridCars.net & .co.uk

So the question is, do you see domaining as like an antique fair/car boot sale scenario where we are all looking for the Ming vase, lost Picasso etc amidst the dross and tat that is out there?

Your thoughts please.

I think it is more akin to buying and selling Florida swampland, most of it is still unusable swamp, small patches became prime real estate.
The people who made money were the land registrars, salesmen and people who looked carefully at what they were actually buying. One good domain is worth more than 10,000 junk domains.
At least in Floridas case there was a finite amount of swamp available. In the case of domaining, the number of practical names is not quite infinite, but certainly mind bogglingly large.
I think the market will mature rapidly in the next couple of years, and actual revenue and visitors will become the deciding factor in value rather than generic single words.
I can definitely see non-English language words making a strong showing, especially in the gTLD. That said, if London remains a major financial center, the .uk namespace will still have significant value and appeal beyond local market potential.
