is there anyway of registering a .net.uk?

the only information i can find on them is that they were possibly going to removed in 2002/2003 time?

You need to be a member of Ripe to get a .net.uk domain and then there are restrictions on their use. AFAIK it's 1 domain per ripe member to be used by the Ripe member only and not to be used by customers.
