First rule of fight club, don't check the ones you let drop. Otherwise your one step away from Noel Edmonds and the "I told you you shouldn't have opened that box". syndrome.

logically it must mean one of two things - either i've made a mistake or someone else has... it's like being hounded by vultures...

And your right, I won't open anymore boxes..

A lot of mine get picked up too - but you know what, if you meant to let them drop, then you did so for a reason...

As long as it's not a mistake I'm not too bothered.

The renewal fees on hundreds of unused domains, is too much. I've now got a policy where I'm starting to develop everything - they each have to at least pay for themselves...

That's the best way in these leaner times. Sad thing is, a lot go undeveloped, so when renewal time comes around, you've no idea whether renewing them is actually worth it or not. The earlier in the 2 year cycle they're developed the better to see what the roi is, otherwise all you end up doing is topping up Nominet's bottom line for no good reason!

Same here....I let them drop for a reason, they either get no traffic or they don't pay for themselves. As was said subsequently though; one mans junk is another treasure.
