How do YOU put a value on a domain name

If you are in buying mode for domains how do you put a value on a domain that makes you decide yes to buy or no. Thought i would ask to help others understand what people go for and why.

and in answer to your question there are so many variables it would take to long to post here but one of my main criteria is probably the potential market.

I look at exact match searches using the Google Keyword Tool.

I look at AdWords spending on the exact match keyphrase using the AdWords traffic estimator tool.
