what kind of effect could google instant have on domain prices?

Guys is google instant going to affect domain sales in your opinion?

Do you not think there's a hidden factor here in that:-

1. words being overlooked for plural/singular (is dependent on phrase)
2. certain words preferred over synonyms

Possible affected keywords:-

- bookcase (shows bookcases by default)
- xxxx bed (shows xxxx beds by default)
- betting site (shows betting sites)
- xxxx floor (shows xxxx flooring)
- voucher code (shows voucher codes) <- better example

I kind of foresee a domain 'tag' or sales indication, similar to exacts being attached onto domains before long - which may highlight the fact that this domain is an instant match (IM) word - not a word which will be overlooked in google instant.

I also think that the exacts will skyrocket for IM domains and ones which are overlooked will plummet, so could be interesting watching the GTK? I may be wrong.

Food for thought - something I've been thinking about last few days regarding domains.

The singular / plural default on Instant is far more arbitrary than that:

Double B - defaults to Double Bed
Single B - defaults to Single Beds
Cabin B - default to Cabin Beds
Inflatable B - defaults to Inflatable Bed

As far as I can tell it's not even geared to which gets more exact searches - ie which is reported as being more "popular".

IMO to let it change values very much would be madness, given how often G change the paying field, as a good name is always going to be a good name if it represents something that has an ongoing demand or a strong brand, whatever G says right now.

I already have this as a criterion when I reg a name and it helps if it appears in Instant.

I think Edwin mentioned this a while ago too.
