Seriously mate, they will just sod it all up. Put a parking page on it and donate the cash to one of the projects.

Charities have little time for domains and they won't usually have a clue what you are on about and it will sit there not resolving for years.

Or a simple redirect to their main .org site.

Wouldn't waste your time on it though, they won't usually thank you. Charities are some of the most ungrateful organisations (the bigger ones anyway).

It's nice you are going to give it them. Microfinance is a great thing to go and do! Perhaps you could suggest a nominal payment in terms of a credit that you could invest in Kiva, if you don't already have an account and funds being lent out.

i guess i just .. redirect and leave it to them to respond to the email.

i just think this is just such a cool idea for a charity, instead of giving money for food , you actually help these people to set up a business which means they can earn money for themselves .

Give a man a fish, he owes you one fish. Teach a man to fish, you give up your monopoly on fisheries.

I'd just redirect to their site mate, or try and email them.

I signed up to Kiva last year and really do think it's fantastic. Hopefully they will contact you back regarding handing over the domain to them. Of course there's a chance they won't even want it, but at least they have the option. As others have said, I'd just redircet toto their site in the meantime.

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day...teach a man to fish and you turn him into a boring bastard.

Seriously, follow what GreyWing said in post #2 - twice I've tried donating domains to charities with no success. And that from someone who is Chair or Trustees for a charity my wife runs.
Odds are you wont find anyone within the organisation who knows what you're talking about.

You can probably message the CEO, assuming that you're a kiva member:
