At what point do you say ok 'let's re-brand' with a one word generic?

What is the criteria? Does it improve things?

Anyone done it? Good / bad results?

Is it worth it considering costs?

Very interesting question, I thought about that for this site but once word is out the name becomes recognised and a brand, plus all the links etc

Has anyone done a rebrand? what was the impact on the site?

Wasn't sure I'd got the point over but your comments show I have...

The issues of Goog Pr, back links, current brand awareness too...

Be interesting to have some 'serious' feedback on this issue...
