Was recently asked to help secure some names and had a sort of reversal of this with a co.uk domain owned by a”poor college student“

The .com was available for $10000, $3500 net $1000 0rg advertised prices,
Approached the co.uk owner the”poor college student“to be told £20,000????

A background is that none make revenue from the associated product, In Europe the potential buyer has exclusive European license so if a retailer was to buy the name they would have to purchase through them anyhow … its pretty niche fad/craze type item and is generally known under the product brand name which they own, The other is a sort of slang type name like “ghetto blaster “etc it could be argued is non productive by watering down the identify of the “brand” product itself.. (Possibly why there not developing them?)

There offer mid £xxxx I believe was very good considering the above which I did point out to the .co.uk seller this was bluntly turned down (the reply was your taking the piss type) ... needless to say they have bought the com and net and org at a price below the advertised…. Since then the “student” has bombarded with revised prices to be honest they've missed the boat they wouldn’t even offer xxx now
