I can honestly say I've only heard of one of those brands, and I know they've tried advertised with a co.uk as well.

You will always have the "its a subdomain not a real domain" crowd sneering at you tho. Its not that hard a cross to carry when its YOU using the premium branded keyword.uk.com and joe blogs clicking on you all day long regardless of your extension and earning you money.

I agree, when weighed up against around �25.00 per year, with the downsides, I believe it is a risk well worth taking to use this extension. The risk should reduce the more they are used, and in my opinion the more valuable and desirable the best ones will become.

It seems like you need a bit more backlinks for 'exact match' .UK.COM compared to .co.uk or .org.uk. For brand recognition and possible brand confusion, I'd personally avoid that extension.

I've used it for domain broker uk, and it works well for me, A small risk and perhaps less cachet, but worth it.
