Looking for backlink checker software

Hi All,

I used to use a piece of software called "DomainInspect" to check back links of a list of 1000 names. It checked number of backlinks on yahoo and altavista. Unfortunately, it has now stopped working.

Do you know any other software that does the same job?

You need to load it with proxies as Yahoo etc. have limits based on IPs.

Do they have daily limits per IP, or just a total limit?

I think DRT does it direct, so its per IP. Just turn your router on/off after 1000

I watched the video on the DRT website about scanning domains.
It mentions to use proxies, however the narrator says he wont disclose which proxies to use, and to find your own.

Does anyone know which proxies I can use?

DRT gives you free proxies at the click of a button or subscribe to get more.

You have to keep refreshing any proxy list as they get banned over time.

I use the Yahoo site explorer, seems to work ok.

Ahh, maybe not for 1000 urls at the same time, sorry.

I got frustrated with the same thing, so got a web based tool for bulk backlink checking coded up a while ago. Just made it public at Backlinks.In.

Saves having to fire Parallels & DRT up each time I just want to check a few domains.
