I think the back end systems must be the problem, I am sure if they were withdrawing the service the OVT page would not be operational.

Hopefully it's just a botched upgrade that they will fix tonight - finger crossed.

I didnt know that site was yours APD - thanks for a valuable service!

Fingers crossed as well.

To be honest I don't care whether the data it is 2 or 3 months old - I am just looking at OVT as an indication of traffic. For a dropping domain, it is quite helpful if the result reflects the period prior to it's suspension, in that it reflects natural type-in traffic prior to the domain's suspension. I have noticed OVT scores zoom up once a domain is suspended cos probably regular users just get frustated and stick the domain name in their favourite search engine, and also probably cos fellow domainers are doing a bit of research on the suspended name.

Fingers crossed anyway - it was just a glitch at their end !

Anyone heard any more re Overture ?. The site is still up but still returning no results - been 5 days now.

I know from reading elsewhere this tool is due to be retired soon, anyone got any other ideas on assessing likely type-in traffic for a domain ?

Thanks

That's a good question, John. If OT aint dead yet it will be very soon.

I know of two paid for services: KEYWORDDISCOVERY.COM ($49.95/M) and WORDTRACKER.COM ($59/M)

However I am not sure whether they allow you to select UK only searches.

There is another site that seems to tap into both the above sources, and it's FREE: http://www.submitexpress.com/keytracker.php

Any comments on the above services or alternatives are welcome.
