Could you have picked a worse time to target such a market given that the FITs are about to crash and the entire industry is up in arms... court cases on there way.

Frankly its an awful shame, and not great for the UK

It will work out , the cost of solar panels has fallen so much that the money the government was giving was just too much .... We had loads of companies just wanting to put up free solar panels so that they could claim the subsides

Sorry , but no one can preach this to me. I am one of those unlucky electricians who set up my solar pv business late last year , i've employed 7 people 2 apprentices now thanks to the government chances are they will be and myself probably on the dole queue for christmas.

so please dont tell me about timing.

thanks

I feel it man.. I invested heavy in wind, and its paying some dividends, I was reluctant to put money into solar due to what I thought at the time was an unsustainable FIT

Sorry to hear that...I was speaking with an energy consultant a few weeks ago who is absolutely convinced that the biggest driver of house prices over the next 20 years will be whether they have large south facing roofs. Short term thinking by the government I'm afraid, but I suspect the decision will be reversed pretty quickly.
