Old threads and mods

Posted on an old topic and added here so some text might be revelant to the actual topic

At the moment it looks like one Admin and a mod.

Might be a possible idea to appoint more mods but having a section each so that they have some time to either lock threads that are no longer relevant such as this or lock old threads that so far havent been revamped to the top as sometimes people will use a search forum or on some boards they do and push to the top without reading dates etc.

I only answered this one because it was at the top and I had two domains too maybe get rid of.

Used to be a case in the old days when forums used to get spammed a lot, not sure if this is the case now or just depends on the forums but adding extra mods some UK and American or other World people means that theres reasonably 24 hour protection.

The mods if domain sellers could take on other IDs such as mod1, mod2 etc etc so if they did have to shut down a thread or tell someone off then they dont lose business.

Some good and trusted people in here so might be worth looking into.

As a side issue if you saw their clothes sense you wouldnt csll them mod!!

I can see your point but lets be honest here, if people like you didnt want to cause trouble all the time we wouldnt need more admins or mods.

There are a lot of very good people on here who know how to behave themselves and if they have something to say they say it in private. They dont put people down all the time. Think about it...........

I think your missing the point completley.

1) I dont want to cause trouble infact if you look at most of my threads I'm actually helping or trying to help people.

2) The post was made so that if there were section mods then two year old threads could be locked so that no one could answer them and push them to the top.

3) When I said something in private I got banned for a week, but at least I said something in private rather than on the forum.

4) I dont put people down all the time. I have in one post regarding someone asking for SEO keywords but pretending that hes an Google expert.

Hopefully this will save anyone losing $29.99 that thought about having help from a non expert who just brought the resale writes on a series of articles.

5) I did post this message on a two year old thread to which I notice that my message has been deleted from it which baffles me in all honesty about it takes two seconds to remove one post but the two year old thread doesnt get locked as well.

6) Surely you must know what a MOD is a MOD is an old style and way of living, MODs would ride around on scooters, the 80's mod would wear long cant remember if there called parkas, they would listen to the smiths and other forms of bands.

I am planning to add the forum mod that locks old threads but since I have to upgrade the whole site to use it, I have to wait until I have time to do this as it's a huge task.
