Angry not happy, acorn !!

I post a thread regarding one domain. 13 hours 19 minutes later, I post a thread regarding another domain.

Lo and behold they get merged into one. It really is a bit petty. I wouldnt mind if I was one of the noobs posting crap !!

So, if Admin or her helpers are feeling that they have to merge threads to allow more room for crap, can you please amend the title of the original thread so it shows the domain contained within the thread you've whisked away too!

Yours disgruntledly,

Pendragon

Maybe a little pm or something for members that have posts over 100 or something, reminding them of the rules and updating them on the changes you have made.

I can understand no warning or explanation for members that have just joined with zero posts and possibly just spamming. But I feel longer standing members deserve a little more respect.

I Don't know all the rules, I presume like most people, members don't sit down and read all the rules like a contract before they join. Most members pick things up when they do something wrong or see others do something wrong. The only was we see when people do stuff wrong is when you put and explanation on the bottom of a thread that has breached the rules.

At the end of the day, the reason I don't break the rules is because I have respect for people in this forum, not because I may get punished or my threads deleted. I really suspect it is the same for 99% of guys on here.

I've seen it so many times on other forums, where good experienced members get peeved off and go start another forum or post somewhere else. It's the people who make a forum not the programming. Lets try and keep people in one place guys, it's the best forum out there and I have learnt alot from you and still learning.

We don't need a zero tolerance forum do we?

GW

i dont normally get involved in stuff like this, but i think this needs to be addressed.

if someone is posting loads of posts in the sales forum within 24 hours then fine.. merge... but if a well known member posted 2 sales threads in 24 hours then whats the problem. Making it that rigid will only harm the forum imho.

its a real pain having to wait 24 hours before i can post another sale, i think this is something admin needs to think about and address.

all sales post are equal, but some are more equal than others

lol my post was posted before Paul made his second comment.

i think that slack should be clarified by admin and posted in the "official" rules

a sticky post might help too

this is being addressed, but lets face it it is the long standing members (like yourself) that complain when they see posts from same person in same day? so admin and mods can not win.

Also if my memory recalls it is the long standing members that chose the rules in the first place...

I thought it was one sales thread, no more than every 12 hours as described in this post?

Quote:
Put domains name in thread title
Please can you follow the below rules when posting domains for sale. Anyone not following them will have the threads removed without notice.

1: At Least 1 Domain Name MUST be in thread title.
2: Only 1 Sales Thread posted within a 12 hour period.
3: Strictly no thread bumping within a 24 hour period

Above rules can be changed at any time.
Or have I missed something?

Yes it is every 12 hours so i'm not sure why all this has occured! :s

I personally think that as long as the sales forum isn't abused by a member adding a post then immediately adding another post and then adding another post after that within the space of five minutes its not really a problem...
