Adult Section

When is the adult section going to be propery fixed?

It receives ZERO exposure. You have to go to rediculious lenghts to sign up. But if you don't know to sign up you will never know it's there
So all visitors to this forum completely miss it. !!!!

Then we have admin and others telling people off for posting in the wrong section! They are posting their adult names in the general section as they do not know an adult section exists! because they can't see the adult section

And when admin/mods are moving threads, are they PMing the authors to tell them where their thread has gone and how to sign up to see it?

If a fix is a long way off in coming, can we go back to the way it was, as then at least they do receive exposure.

How do the other domain forums manage to do it?

.

Domain Trader Rating:
(100% / 105)
.99% of people visiting forum are over 18 i would imagine anyway.
have an adult section where it is & when entering you have to click a page that says, adult content within, are you over 18? just click yes, & in you go.that covers everyone for appraisals & sales etc
its a failsafe way of doing it, like porn sites do, allegedly

as it is, pointless having a section i agree. ott

Question

Anyone know how to hide the "last post" on a single forum in VB?

I found how to do it for the whole Index page but I just want to do it for the Adult forum.

Would be nice if we could opt out and not have to see them

Can't you just do it in the same way as the exclusive section is set up?

If I'm not logged in*, I see a bar saying:

Quote:
Exclusive Members
A private forum for Exclusive Members. A paid subscription to Acorn Domains is required to access this area.
Surely you could duplicate this for an Adult section and have instructions on how to access it on that bar?

* if I'm logged in this disappears

The problem is that people do not want users to have to sign up to a specific group to see the Adult section as it just gets overlooked or is not visible at all.

With the exclusive section it is easy as people sign up for it.

I am digging to find a solution.

You could just hack the index page code: if forum = adult then last post title = *******
