Quote: Quality Domain Names for sale typically selling for £x,xxx or more. Can that be said for the last 9 names on the thread? One even has a buy now for £650. Is that premium? Absolutely no offence directed to the people that are posting. My comment is to the people that are accepting them. The last premium domain I see on that thread that is worthy is crazy.co.uk. The rest that follow are not as they will not achieve a selling price of £1k+ (especially the one that has a buy now of £650) Premium should surely mean what it says. What is the criteria, in the panels eyes, that makes a domain name "premium"? and why do the panel accept names they think is premium that has a buy now price of £650? There are names selling for more than that on the normal threads. (no offence to any poster on the thread) . |

Any domain valuation is subjective, I would not have approved FirstChoiceSki.co.uk in that section yet it sold for £3,000 I consider a 3 letter domain to be a Premium Domain as they typically sell for £1,000 to £10,000 end user, £650 is a trade price. The Forum description made need fine tuning, basically if it is a one word generic or 3 letter is stands a chance of being accepted. Admin |

I also put forward premiumfinance.co.uk but this was also rejected. Premum Finance is a £billion annual UK business. Any insurance policy that is taken out and paid monthly is paid on premium finance. premium finance - Google Search= Can you please tell me why the panel decided this was not eligable for the premium section? Thank you . . |

Just applied with adultchat.org.uk Currently earning £70 per month since Dec 2007. Looking forward to see if the panel thinks it deserves a premium slot, Year to date; 2008 Page Loads 9,402 Unique Visitors 7,514 First Time Visitors 6,901 Returning Visitors 613 Thank you for your time. . |

i do agree scooter the wording probably could do with changing, submitted a couple that are 2k min names that were refused but the point is that it is subjective and also that this is a free forum. What more can you do then have people approving/disapproving names, at the end of the day someone has to decide. Maybe charge people £50 to add a name there and then we would see how much people really think of their name. |

obesity.org.uk Politics.org.uk cahoots.co.uk nanos.co.uk molecules.co.uk approval.co.uk lik.co.uk Yvd.co.uk spray.co.uk Scooter - here are the last few names that made it into the premium section (which only needs 1 of the mods or Admin to ok it) - for the record, I did not and would not approve of any of the names (mine own excluded I wont be approving adultchat.org.uk either but perhaps someone else will see it fit to pop into the premium section. Thats just the way it works. |

Hmmm... I think we need to go back to voting mods/admin? What do you think? I haven't approved any names for a while but then, when we voted on names, members got annoyed that their names hadn't been approved instantly because it took a while to get all the votes in... I think there are some that have blatent obvious admission but others don't purly because it is based on own opinion and the opinions of the team inevitably differ a fair bit! Rich

P.S. There is more that meets the eye with that section including the flow of crap that gets added plus all the PM and email enquiries that go with it

I agree with Rob, if people feel their domain is valuable enough they should have the option to pay for a listing, that removes the need for moderation, subjective opinion and flow of emails.
