![]() | Insidious Adverts
I'm fairly hardened to advertising on the web, but the latest innovation is making me think "that's creepy". On of the banners at the bottom of Acorn pages is for Critical Memories. When it appears it displays offers on the latest product that I have looked at on Critical's site. Obviously the advert is linking to theirs site, looking at cookies and selecting content. I think that a large portion of people surfing the web would be spooked by that and close the page at once. It could also bring about the end of usefulness for cookies. |
