Haha, not quite the same no.

Thanks for all the comments. The house is much more secure now, but I'm told it's very uncommon for burglaries in the area so hopefully it won't happen again. The landlord has even made the fence 2ft higher.

I'm liking the IP camera idea, hopefully won't have to work from home though although I am a little concerned about them coming back.

It emails you the images when motion detection is tripped. You can train the motion detection really well.

I use this with a pinhole spy camera in my shop. Works great. Emails the photos instantly, in rapid succession. I use googlemail address so they are stored there and get google to forward to my phone.

You can also have them ftp'd or saved on the pc. You can date/timestamp the images.
