You didn't say any of that in the original thread. Your first post within the thread was the one I ridiculed, which was in response to what Sussexite had suggested. He/she didn't mention landing pages at all and neither did you. All you said was "Good Idea - Lets do it! Could set up a new registrar tag too!"

What actually pushed me to respond more than anything, in the way I did, was your second sentence about the tag. The tag wouldn't really have made any difference to the original idea that Sussexite had and it's something I'd expect a sixteen year old on here to come out with in the context you did, hence my mocking post in reply.

Cheers pred, when I was commenting in the post I couldn't remember if Ron had switched from tues to wed or a day later - my brain cells had been overwhelmed. And I haven't got that many left to overwhelm

LOL! Thanks for the short PM conversation we had last week by the way, gave me some good insights and have started regging/catching domains again.

Just had a look at DNJ and was rather surprises to see W.to sell for that much, to those one letter .To domains always fetch that much?

The 2nd surprise was Bangkok.net to sell for just $25k, is that a normal price for a .net like that?

I figured portfolio holders would point domains to the "marketplace" a landing page equivalent for each domain.

Seems the membership tag would be required to add a level of credibility by meeting Nominets level of trading standards and references. I think it would be expected by suppliers and customers.

It hasn't been pursued further either way!

Sorry if you feel like that, I've conceded it was a silly idea & thread!

I managed to make the DNJ Last week with my sale on DL and hopefully with your help earlier in the week I'll be able to make another good sale, so it's not like I'm ignoring anything I've read or learnt from anyone on the forum.

Yes Matt - I did spot your sale on DNJ, Regarding the other one don't worry about getting an immediate response, Your options are good on that one.

It is nice to see someone getting clued-up and enthusiastic about domains, I believe you will do well. And your success will hopefully keep-you right. The trouble with some of your proposals is that your taking some of us through hoops & loops we've been through a dozen times before over the years
