Tech question again - iphone storage photo q

I've had some great answers in the past and purchased based upon the recommendations received, however, I think I may be asking too much this time.

I need a device that will allow me to download the pictures and video from an iPhone so I can delete them and free up the space to be used again.

Scenario is no Internet connection from phone or via wifi anywhere.

Needs to connect to device via cable or phones wifi etc

I've looked at airstash but looks a bit expensive and would prefer more storage.

The only thing that I am aware of that is "intelligent" enough to interface with an iPhone at the level required, given no comms allowed, to copy off photos and video is probably a computer connecting the two using a cable and running iTunes (or other) software. However I doubt that is what you want either. It depends on your definition of a "device". I presume not a "laptop" running Windows or Mac OS!

You get little adapters for the iphone you can put a memory card in them.
Could you just copy them to a memory card and delete them from the phone, then transfer them off to free the card up for next time?
Try ebay or Amazon, and Groupon were selling one the other day.

Apparently one cannot do this. Only works from SD Card to iOS device, not the other way.

Sorry Invincible, yes it needs to work without a laptop or desktop.

And needs to transfer from iphone/ipad to it.

Looks like airstash is best, just so costy.
