Saying no bumping full stop might be a little too harsh. No bumping without certain reasons.

Say i started a thread offering a few domains for sale and then a week later the thread died. I would'nt then be able to 'bump' my thread reducing the domains, heck i would'nt be allowed to bump it to give the domains away.

I'd have to start a new thread, and a new thread with the same names is alot worse IMO.

One thread a day is a great idea, personally though I dont mind the odd single bump as it may mean people seeing a sale that they previously missed - persistent bumpers need a slap on the wrists tho!

No bumping unless you have 100 postcount

YOUR DOMAINS ARE CRAP! Asking for anything in double figures is laughable let alone in the hundreds.

Please stop posting shite.

Sorry, have joined the thread a little late.

What gets to me are the threads that have titles along the lines of "Great domains for sale", "Unmissable domains" etc, tempting you to take a peek, and then you see some pretty miserable domains, often needing a line or two to explain their meaning!

By all means list your domains, but please leave it up to your audiance to decide how good the domain names are.

I agree that multiple bumps are also a pain, as are the inevitable follow up posts, dropping the prices as nobody was tempted by the original post!

Dave.

It seems most of the crap are .com and come from randoms with 1-10 posts.

such as:
here...

Why not ban .com sales from the forum?

I think a rule including at least one of the names for sale in the title of the post would be handy.

Likewise the limit on posting / bumping etc - its really only new users who come and hammer the forum inside 48hrs and then either disappear or adapt to the way things work

It could be worth everyone being more active with the karma / reputation points system, or perhaps on signing up have a quick 'top ten rules' summary presented to a user rather than the standard VB agreement?

Unhappy

Ive seen what i would call crap for thousands so its hard to distinquish true value, what is a domain worth ? its in the eye of the beholder, domains are probably the most volitile commodity in the world !

Every forum seems to be the same, what can you do ? they generally just fade away like their domains !

Cheers, Grant
