| Junior Member | Ownership of emails sent to domain
UK2.net are about to stop providing the Catch all email forwarding service unless I pay an extra fee. This brings up an interesting legal point. Are they allowed to delete (or not forward) these emails if I do not pay the fee? Who owns the emails sent to my domain? If they were the Post Office and decided not to deliver any snail mail someone would end up in jail. |

One of the directors (I think) posted in this thread so you could ask him direct: http://www.acorndomains.co.uk/domain...or-change.html Grant |

If you buy a stamp, and post a letter, you (the sender) is paying for a service. If you send an email, you are not. Also, they won't be deleting emails. They will be refusing to receive them, they will be bounced back to the sender. To use your analogy, this is the equivelent of an address no longer existing (house demolished, adressee gone away etc), and royal mail returning the letter as undeliverable.
