![]() | mail server on own tag,
Hi Guys, Just made a massive mistake, changed over a shed load of my domians to my own tag and forgot all about my email address's being made redundant. Just wondering how everyone else does it, do you have your own server's. Or don't apply any email address's to your holding domains. All my emails were forwarded to one address and haven't had an email this week, I thought the spammers had given up. Not good, Cheers Guys GW |

Hi mate yep they were with 123-reg, and disappeared out of my account as soon as the tag changed. The email extensions must have just been deleted. The name servers stayed with 123-reg, but the emails went missing. I know oneandone will let me have email extensions on with just the name sever pointing to them, but seems with 123-reg they need the whole tag. Very strange, Last edited by GWing; 17-08-2007 at 08:30:04 PM. |

Cheers for the link Decnostruction, going to have a look at that. I'm with one and one for my hosting at the moment, around £25 a month at the moment. They give me 15 databases which I need just about all of, but I can't alter the the ht.access file (or something like that, can't remember without looking it up.) Which doesn't help my databases in regards SEO friendly with my property templates. I'll give them an email to ask who it would work with regards that. Cheers again |

However, I've found that if you transfer one domain at a time, their system is so crap that it's unable to remove the domain from your 123-reg account and you can still set the forwarding. | |
