How can a .co.uk domain name have a renewal date of 2008 when you can only reg them for 2 years

Yer Thats crazy - Thats two I have seen now, the other was a Pre-nom name.

It would be great if we could renew them untill 2008!

I think you're allowed to renew names for 2 years within 6 months of expiry. At least, that would tie in exactly with the dates you posted...
