proplus.msi

I'm sure millions of others have had this problem......

PC has just done an autoupdate and added service pack 3 (i think).

i now cannot open excel as it asks for proplus.msi and the windows installation disk.

I have a compaq so it didn't come with a install disk. Any ideas what I can do?

pendragon,

check in your C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office folder

find and copy to another location and then rename mso2002.dll to proplus.msi
(have a look here)
