mobile tagging

I noticed a dodgy little barcode thing in a mag last week and yesterday found out it's called mobile tagging, you take a photo of the barcode with you mobile and your mobile software takes you to a URL from reading the barcode.

Apparently it's an everyday thing in Asia and we're next!

It sure beats typing a long URL into a phone using a standard numeric keypad

Do you reckon mobile tagging will come to anything over here?

PS don't bother with mobiletagging.co.uk or or tagvertising.co.uk

Nokias have this inbuilt on latest ones, and for anyone with s60's can download the software.

Im going to whack a barcode on my head, then everytime someone takes a pic of me their phone will default to my website

Thinking about it though.....

What if every supermarket and shop had their item barcodes linking to a page on their website with information about the product

Seeing mobile tagging cropping up in loads of random places, now I just need to find a way of monetising the domain
