The Blackberry Tour has just come out in the states and should be released here soon.

Its a Bold (a brick of a phone) and Curve mix and does have GPS but no Wifi.

I will upgrade my Pearl to it when its released and will never buy anything other that Blackberry from now on.

I had a K800 which was an excellent phone for its time. Then a K850i for 12 months and loved it... I spoke with a lot of people that had this issue but I never had it with mine... Granted there were other issues though, my first one stopped working after about a month... Would turn on but not boot, got a replacement and it was great for the 12-14 months.

I've moved on now, got the 3gs... Love it, but then my last 'real' smartphone was a Orange CPV500 running Windows mobile so I dont have a huge frame of reference! One of my friends had a Blackberry Storm and after 3 weeks smashed the screen after dropping it... Not particularly resiliant... Although, I rekon any large screen smartphone screen would break pretty easily??

k800 is the king of phones,i used to be a mod on the top mobile phone forums and that would probably be the best of the best in response ,reliability and ease of use.

Has ANY blackberry user on this forum not had ANY problems ? This means not having to return it, replace it, update firmware, switch it on and off regular, reset problems, freezing problems, locking problems, anyone ?

I still use my k800i for email, every 5 minutes it downloads my email, the only downside is that it will only download 1 email account not all of them. I only had one problem with the K800i, if you tried to send a really long text/media message/email it would switch itsself off and on, but it was never meant to do that anyway.

That bad, weekly ?

I'd have rammed the f'ing phone down the shop keepers throat and told him to keep it.

I took the p1i out the shop at like 11am and i was back at about 3pm saying no thanks pal! The iPhone was almost the same too heh.

The phone people don't know whether to love me or hate me

Taken from another forum.........

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but the Tour (9630) is a CDMA device. The UK does not have any CDMA networks.

All devices ending in the numbers '30' do not come to the UK, An example is the Blackberry Storm 9500 and 9530. The 9500 storm is for GSM networks and the 9530 for CDMA networks.

The next devices to hit the UK are probably the Storm 2 (Odin) and the Onyx.

OK, I now have no idea what to get. The Pearl has never given me any problems but your comments are swaying me away from BB.

Most important for me is email delivery (a la BB), facebook, twitter and skype apps and ease of text input.
