why do you buy domain names ?

Bit of a broad question, but would love to hear others opinions on the reasons they buy domain names.

I have added a simple poll - feel free to add your comments of course

I think I just have a bit of an addiction (made worse since I joined AD). I have about 50 domains now (I'm not a pro) and intend to turn them into money making microsites. Unfortunately, I haven't actually got round to making anything from any of them. yet.

I'm off travelling for 4 months later this year, but when I get back I'm going to be looking into this domaining business big time.

I'm in it to make some cash at the end of the day. Either by selling reseller, end user or developing an aff site. I enjoy the business, sure beats crunching numbers for an employer.

And I can work whilst drunk or stoned without worrying about being sent home, I'm already home

Might not be one left by the time you get back, seems the socialists don't like us, use your vote, get them out.
