![]() | how to lose friends and kill a potential purchase
Got a recent offer from a smooth operator for a single word generic co.uk domain, he wrote to me as follows. I have spoken to the client wishing to purchase the domain and they have offered £50 for the purchase of the domain. They’ve based their price on the fact that they can get similar domains for around £10, but see there’s an obvious charge involved for transferring domains etc from your ISP to mine. I hope this is of interest to you, Many Thanks |

That's funny I sent a few emails out earlier this year asking for £500 for a domain (which had a £200 offer on the table), one guy wrote back and said [something similar to] "We own a few domains so know they are worth around £6 each, as this domain is of interest to us we can start the negotiations at £12" |
