Guys it depends absolutely on the value of the name. No matter what anyone says, if you've got a big buyer hooked in then youve got to decide if its good or not. If its a couple of hundred quid and the buyer is wary about paying you first let it go. Never lost yet!!

All the best.

PS: Do your research on the punter first

That's true, if it's a high value domain I'd never release it before payment.

I just sold digitalreaders.co.uk on sedo for ......... 80 quid.... I'd never release a domain that made that much until I've got the cash to buy my ice-cream (with 2 flakes) and some cherry sauce.

I know what bidders are like that offer "that much"

I don't sell much online (mostly face to face etc) MY DOMAINS, MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE! Damned I feel like Naomi Campbell :P

I only ever been stung on namepros when buying .coms a few years ago by a gold star or whatever member 8k posts, you'd think you could trust that, never on a .co.uk. They went on to drop the domain in june this year and it was reregistered to someone else.

Like many others a trusted member is a trusted member

Edit: 1 member on here renewed a domain (the day before the drop), sold it to me after I contact them, then some how managed to cancel the renewel leaving me to pay the renewel fee 6 weeks after the domain should have dropped. not a huge issue really since I got the domain for half what I was willing to pay, hell his counter to my low-ball was less than I was willing to pay :P

The people I buy with "partners" if you you wil", have had some horror stories when selling/buying.

I was a trusted member of namepros last week I'm now a banned trusted ex member. It's a great transient forum. For transients.

I'm not bitter, I was goading them to ban me for months, such a shitty place to do any kind of proper business, they done me a huge favour. I was spending literally minutes a day trying to get sales above $10 Those minutes I'm now saving are worth much more than the time spent making a post on that forum. Full of kids that want sex.com for no more than 50 quid. They have no clue there.
