I'm not taking sides here. I'm just wondering why they spent so much effort nailing that one pathetic individual, and why he was able to breach their security so often and so easily.

The reason they aint caught bin laden is because his one of theirs from the seventies and eighties, the reason they want this other one so much if thinking of the right one, aint because they're daft, once they jail him, they got him, he wont be in prison long. I wouldnt worry, yanks dont like your lot much at the moment either due to libya.

The yanks wanted that Libian released more than the scots, they had to stomp their feet in public but Scotland took the blame for that one when everyone wanted him released.

The guy never did it anyway and was months away from a retrial where loads of dodgy stuff was due to be aired.

Now it's all been swept away, everyones happy.

Letting "that Libyan out" was a compassionate Christian act by the Christian Government of a Christian country.

Without labouring the point further, it was more embarrassing to Libya than any of the other options.
