Bleak Midwinter...

So they said it ill stay cold and we might have a bit more snow.

They didn't say we would have 8 inches overnight... and it's still coming down!

Will it never stop? I saw someone out running in this the other day, while I was walking and slipping all over the place. He was either wearing spikes or is not of this world!

I'm in the Ribble Valley, only an inch or two here this morning so far, ice has been the biggest pain - especially on pavements.

The last batch before Christmas wasn't even mentioned on the weather and there was about 15cm of snowboard friendly white stuff on my garden table for a week. Had DHL stuck in the street for 2hrs, had to let his tyres down, get the shovel out and push - should have sent them an invoice for my time!

It's the media that I love at this time of year, half an inch of snow in London - chaos and panic.

What I have found amusing is the amount of immigrant taxi drivers not having a clue how to drive in it. Wheel spinning like a girl and making the road shiny for the rest of us.

My 205 GTi loves the stuff.

Hi Fish, happy new year!

Give it time, its on the way Days like this I'm so glad I work from home.

If anyone was watching BBC News 24 a moment ago they cut to a reporter in Sheffield and the image was just pure snow, think the cameraman must have fallen over - made for a few laughs in the studio.
