ps. they have their own fuel cell (which you light), so they can travel a very long way - then mysteriously disappear

I think in my previous video link at around 1:17, you can see already that the 2 lanterns appear to be almost moving together - that's after just a minute or so.

Give it a few more minutes, more altitude and if you were looking out across a wide view of the vastness of the sky they would look as though they are bunched - especially if they were moving towards you.

Perhaps you're all a bit young for this one -

YouTube - UFO Footage:Well Documented

Filmed by a commercial news crew - and tracked on radar by air traffic control - reported on BBC news - gives it a bit more cred.

You telling us you can identify everything in the sky Rob?

Don't think anyone on here has said anything more than things are unidentified.

Even the guys that went to the moon saw things that still can't be explained.

Does that equate to little green men, no of course not, not unless you have proof, but nobody on here is saying it does either.

I've been lucky enough to witness three U(I)FOs

1st was around 10 years ago near Preston, had just got on the M61 and a big V shaped craft just like all the typical photos you see with lights under each part of the V hovered along and then shot off. I had a business associate in the car with me who went speechless for a while.

2nd was a Black Triangle in March 2008 in Burnley, red light in each corner, completely silent, went past low and fast, me and the mrs just froze in awe as it went by.

3rd was the same Black Triangle earlier this year in Clitheroe, only this time it was higher and performed some fast and random zig zag manoeuvres (definitely pilotless) just above the house and shot off at speed, again silent.

There's loads of documented blurb online about Black Triangles and BAE Warton (near Preston) is mentioned as a research facility.

UFOs? Aliens from outer space? I say believe what makes you happy.

It is pretty spooky. I can't help feeling that it's unlikely that aliens have visited us, but I have seen footage on occasion that is difficult to explain and does appear to be indicative of intelligent life. Perhaps these are mostly government projects.

Well in my opinion mate, in the documentary via Ghosts in the American prison which aired on Sunday night on the Nat Geo channel.

People were sensing ghosts, they didn't try to rubish them but they set about it in a scientific way and actually found a cause to why people were feeling the way they did. They didn't assume that just because they felt these feelings, that they believed in the afterlife.

The related it to low amp sound waves, they recreated it and prooved their theory.

I reckon the UFO sightings will follow a similar scientifically found explanation.

I think we did go to the moon.

The shadows are inconsistent because of the inconsistent nature of the surface they are falling on. Also, there are 2 light sources. The sun and the earth - remember, earthlight is much brighter on the moon, than vice versa.

- So the shadows are exactly as they should be.

They left a laser reflector, and to this day, the distance between the earth and the moon is checked daily (we are gradually drifting apart).

RE. UFOs - Yes, most have a simple and scientific basis. ie. the black triangles, belgian sightings etc.

Some, as yet, do not.

When you think, there are more stars in the known universe than there are grains of sand on every beach on the planet - many of these must support life (Drake equation). Given our exponential advancement since the dawn of our technological revolution, what about societies which have been in theirs for 50,000 years ? Can you imagine ??

Perhaps it would be improbable that they wouldn't have stumbled upon us !

Or perhaps I should spend less time wondering

Ps.Interesting stuff, Ribble-Valley - Bet that was amazing. Did it look military ?
