.fm domains what are they used for mostly? e.g. last.fm - because? Music radio ref?

And then does .am stand for the other side to radio?

Any info grateful!

.fm is normaly used for online radio stations (few of them), .am is the other end of the scale.
name.com do them

Cheers WIG WAM, thought that was the case but just wanted to make sure and see if any other uses had been used.

Anyone found a cheaper registrar? $95.95 and $99

Getting the sites together for the end of this month .TV for live streaming and archived Video and .fm for live streaming and archived audio.

Had help with a few things and tested and tried all I need to, to proof it off as a sound idea that works. But will keep you posted.

Good idea, I think that in the future google may rank specialise domains using their tld's (.tv, .mobi, .fm, /pro)

just a thought

If more companies end up signing up to tlds relative to their type of business that could certainly happen. I've seen a growing number of successful .fm names, so that may attract other radio stations to go the same route.
