My 4 year old was born with Group B Strep which is a disease caught while giving birth and can kill a baby within 24 hours, had the nurse not noticed my baby having slight breathing difficulties then we would have taken her home and woke up to a dead baby

In America pregnant women are screened at 36 weeks and can be given antibiotics however this doesn't happen in the Uk

I am planning on setting up a charity to pay for mothers to be screened privately.

This is the sensitive and sad part :
I wanted a short easy to remember .org.uk for the site, I came across stop;org;uk but seen who owns it and i know they won't let it go for cheap, my next check was attention;org;uk, I done a who-is and felt sick when i read Matthew Warne aka Devolution (RIP)

I don't know if this is being dropped but it would be nice if is untimely death resulted in newborn babies being helped to live.

I know this isn't easy so please help

Have you tried Matt's mother. I have spoken to her about some names and she is very easy and friendly to talk to.

i have: condition.org.uk
actually i think more applicable, than the two you mentioned, also for google results. mothers will not be aware that their baby may have this condition
let me know if you would like the domain.

The NHS will screen you, but you have to ask. By default, they will only check people they know already have it. If you ask, they cannot refuse, but they don't offer it as standard as "it would cost too much".
