Please do not name names in this thread, please do not be abusive and instead allow admin to keep this subject alive, it's been deleted at least three times in recent months. If you want a response form Nominet on why this practice is allowed beyond all reasonable doubt, then don't name names or companies.

I only want to see an answer as to why Nominet allows this to go on even though it's completely out of order, if anyone gets abusive or naming names, please just delete the relevent post. I'm hoping admin agrees with this post.

Nominet definitely does not condone this practice. I can recall Jay Daley stating that if they caught a tag holder doing it, there would be sanctions in terms of the Tag Holder Agreement. I also believe this kind of abuse would easily fall under some of the proposals in the Raising Industry Standards consultation. We are trying to raise standards and any responses to the consultation are very welcome even if only a few lines.

The irony I see in the practice as detailed is that the writer feels "It takes millions of good names off the system, and makes them unavailable for the purposes for which those names were originally intended". With respect; isn't that what domaining does too?
