Anyone dealing in personal number plates?

Is there anywhere other than eBay and Piston Heads where you can communicate with the seller direct for negotiation?

Also, when purchasing a plate does the seller need to send off the paperwork or can the paperwork be collected and I deal with putting it on a car?

Not quite on topic, but I used to live close to Peter Grant, manager of Led Zep, he had LZ1 on his Range Rover, very nice indeed.

Just a little bump with a question

About to bid on a plate which is on eBay from a private seller. It's currently on retention - what's the easiest way to get it onto my name/car? Would I be able to simply go and pick up the paperwork and pay in cash then sort the rest out at my local DVLA office?

Just get them to sign the retention document and as you say, take it to the dvla and put it on your car.

Take a photocopy of your current tax disc with you, log book and your insurance.
