Is there anywhere other than eBay and Piston Heads where you can communicate with the seller direct for negotiation? Also, when purchasing a plate does the seller need to send off the paperwork or can the paperwork be collected and I deal with putting it on a car? Cheers all |

Just a little bump with a question About to bid on a plate which is on eBay from a private seller. It's currently on retention - what's the easiest way to get it onto my name/car? Would I be able to simply go and pick up the paperwork and pay in cash then sort the rest out at my local DVLA office? Cheers! |

Just get them to sign the retention document and as you say, take it to the dvla and put it on your car. Take a photocopy of your current tax disc with you, log book and your insurance. |
