I found Expat Shield when looking for a VPN to watch iplayer outside the UK

Completely free VPN and works great, been using it for a week with no probs. I can now get my weekly fix of HIGNFY and QI

There is a 5GB monthly allowance, but that can be bypassed with Mac Makeup

I've never tried Mac Makeup so cannot endorse it, I'll probs never exceed the 5GB allowance.

Just used Expat Shield to put my lottery on, hope the national lottery are not wise to VPN technology

I usually get an IP address from the Isle of Man with this.

I wouldnt expect this to last long with the likes of iPlayer and TVCatchup. They seem to be fairly hot at blocking VPNs.

I've no previous experience with VPN's but it works now so I'm enjoying it while it lasts.

I don't see the ads. I use firefox with the adblockplus plugin, eliminates ads.
I get the odd popup page but that's not too much of a problem to close.
