![]() | More Evidence of the Truth
Just for those that still believe in man made global warming, compared to those who don't. Remember I said there was a guy banned from the bookies for predicting the weather. http://www.acorndomains.co.uk/genera...tml#post226671 http://www.acorndomains.co.uk/genera...tml#post226875 Here is his forecast from May this year about what it was going to do in December..... He's just been on Sky News saying "I told you so" http://www.weatheraction.com/display....asp?a=283&c=1 How much evidence does this guy need to provide before councils and transport companies start to drop this myth of CO2.

There is a guy on his site arguing with him because he forecast a mild rainy end to November. He maybe is good but there seems to be overblown self-promotion on his website which is always suss, its a surprise to find he's not claiming to clean toilets better than Cilit Bang. |

I was wondering about this bloke the other day as was having a chat with a guy who bulk sells antifreeze. Only accurate thing for weather I have found is raintoday.co.uk Whats the theory to why society is ignoring / not copying his methodology if its spot on? |

But I do remember him answering the question you have put. He said over the last few years it has always been mild and regardles of the met office predicting hot or cold weather and businesses preparing themselves for it, it always turned out relitively mild. So businesses never really lost any money. However what he said is that the global warming issue will only really be solved when it turns to the money issue. At the minute is only smaller individuals that really challenge it. He predicts it will be businesses that lead the way on this by using his predictions to plan for their staffing and equipment purchases. What he has seen is a growing number of companies and even councils starting to subscribe to his predictions. I know people think that it only costs a few extra quid in taxes to pay for global warming, but people need to remember we are sat on 400 years of coal in this country. There are elderly people freezing to death because they can't afford to heat their homes because of the price of gas and electricity coming from abroad. At least the government can fund this guys research, rather than the met office predicting 50 years in advance because they can't get it right in 6 months time.

There's a major difference between weather & climate. Last years dec-jan cold spell was due to a strongly negative NAOO. The figures for this winter are showing an equally negative value... causes the typical omega block weather pattern where the jet stream curves in an omega pattern and is forced south, so we drag in the cold block of air & N/NE weather streams. May be linked to solar activity which is at a minima in its cycle. Hard to shift so may be here until feb! You don't need a crystal ball or a pr guru to read met office data! http://www.cpc.noaa.gov/products/pre...nao_index.html explanation: http://theweathercentre.blogspot.com...11-winter.html |

![]() | I think having had a second read about what this guy is saying is that there isn't so much an Earth Climate. It is more a very short term weather pattern that is configured by the weather pattern of the sun which runs in 12-13 year cycles. I don't think Piers believes in the climate tbh. With regards the NAO I think you are right that it is predictable from a 1-2-3 week study, what I have seen of Piers is that he can give an accurate prediction of weather events from upto 10 months, he gave a 7 month prediction on this weather event. He won't say eactly how he predicts it or analyses the data because it's a commercial secret but I've been watching and reading about him for a long period of time and always comes up trumps.
