Dream-Hosting are a good host have a few sites with them never had a problem .

Plus krystal hosting is really good if you want to host more domains .

Hmm, don't SSL certificates require a dedicated IP? Could say you want to buy one from somewhere but also need a dedicated IP for it to work

It means that we've run out of IP addresses, they've all been handed out and there's no new ones left to hand out to anyone else. Justification for IP addresses will be checked in a lot more detail, simply asking for an IP address is unlikely to result in allocation of an address.

Google on IPv6 to see background to the issue and a solution (that many providers have yet to implement), this site is also interesting http://www.ipv4depletion.com/ as are the forums where the trade guys hang out or there's always wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IPv4_address_exhaustion

OK, that isn't something I was aware of. Im surprised they limited them n the first place to be honest.

You need to remember that IPv4 has been about far longer than most people are aware of, to many the Internet is a new thing, I was an Internet user in the 1980's.

When IPv4 was put in place an advanced company may have had 1 or 2 computers for their whole organisation, most people / companies had no idea what a computer was so a 32bit address was far more than was required at the time and quite forward thinking in my opinion.

When I was at school we had 2 computers and 1 teletype connected to the local college for the whole school and we were an advanced school
