We are not America. We don't have a death penalty in our country. It's hard to understand how you guys can perceive the disgraceful lapse in security that led to one thug murdering another thug as somehow a good thing.

It is rare that I agree with you, Philip, but I do agree with your sentiment.

OTOH the outcome of the enquiry into such cases is usually the determinand of what happened.

If someone, prisoner or officer, is found to be at fault, it is a "disgraceful lapse in security".

If no individual blame is attributed, a jury of his peers has found that the continued existence of the victim is an offence against society. It's a jungle in there ...

We do not allow prisoners the right to vote, let alone the right to decide whether another prisoner lives or dies. That is why this incident is an utter disgrace.

Regardless, it is distasteful to see the incident viewed as some kind of triumph of natural justice - when in fact the prison itself has failed to perform its legal purpose.

Call me old fashioned, call me from last century... I don't mind... Honest...

And I am not going to be over humane either.

The law does not allow prisoners the right to vote. Nonetheless, they have opinions, and they have moral values. Because of the nature of his crimes, the victim in this case is a "classified nonce".
Perhaps if the other prisoners had the right to decide who they shared their environment with, his existence would be continuing in Broadmoor or Rampton - as recommended earlier in the documented evidence.

Say what you like, I don't think he's going to be missed. Like the few bob Doodle is placing on the roulette wheel as I write ...

I don't think he'll be missed. Certainly, I don't miss him. But that is not the point and I personally find the elation expressed here to be in poor taste.
