Arrrrgh, spam!

I've had just one too many spam e-mails today and I know I shouldn't, but I couldn't help but reply to this last one received a few moments ago.

Original e-mail:

Quote:
Hi,

It is so simple that even a 10 yr. old could learn this in under 1 hour.

It doesn't matter where in the world you are.

If you have an internet connection and a PC you can claim hundreds of LPounds for just a few minutes of clicking a mouse.

Note: Please turn on your audio so that you will listen the secret formula!

The audio control is located at the top.

Please reply for removal to powerops@email.38.com
I replied with:

Quote:
Hi,

It is so simple that even you will understand.

Get lost, your spam isn't required.

It doesn't matter where in the world you are, you're an illegally spamming annoyance and you have been reported.

You might avoid prosecution for just a few minutes of turning your PC off.

Note: Please turn on your brain and access your cognitive abilities, if any exist. The brain is normally located in the top, however yours may be secluded in a lower region.

Please reply for help to become a human being.
Ho hum........

I find the SEO spammers are the worst.

Whenever I get spam from UK companies, I try and sell them a domain name. The rest, I just hit "delete" on...

I have had a few re-replies to indicate that some do. No sales yet, but a handful of "sensible" discussions. As I said, I limit it 100% to professionally formatted, properly written spam received from what (from their email and website) are clearly UK-based companies. In other words, what I believe they'd call "marketing solicitations". I also limit myself to replying to companies for which I have a genuinely "exact" exact match domain for their business.

Hmmm... Interesting... I have a spammer from genuine SEO website in the USA that even asks me every time "Did you receive my previous email?... Please check your spam folder..." I'll try to sell him something from my .com's

Here's a recent one, to a firm in London which spammed me with their translation services: "I was wondering why you sent us the below? Was it because you visited one of our translation-related domains for sale?[list-of-names]"

Short and sweet, but if they're reading the replies at all it gets my point across, and for the amount of time it takes to send it's probably going to be worth it even if I only close eg. 1/50 sales.

It's early days, I've only been doing it a couple of weeks, but I plan to persevere for a while at least.

This is one of my "favourite" spammers ... spammed again. Well he does it for almost 30 of my websites. This results in a daily spam for different domains. See below:

Did you receive the e-mail which we sent to you recently (copied here-below)?
Please confirm since I have had problems lately with emails intercepted by spam-filters set too high.

Cordially,

Martin ****, Ph.D.
martin****@****.net

I am Dr. Martin ***** and I work for Multilingual Search Engine ***** in ***** (Tel: *****) - I would like to speak with the person in charge of your international clientele. Who is my contact? Who should I speak to??

In fact, after visiting http://www.*****.co.uk/ , I have noticed that your website cannot be found on foreign search engines (I tested it on Hispanic search engines, German search engines, Asian search engines, etc.) Our company is specialized in multilingual search engine promotions in 28 languages . From the Japanese Google to the German Yahoo, from the AOL in Spanish to the MSN in Chinese, we can show you how to develop a true international online presence by promoting your website on foreign search engines.

Let us show you how to develop a presence on the multilingual web without having to translate your website: It is not necessary to translate your website in order to submit to foreign search engines, however, you need to have at least 1 page in Japanese optimized with Japanese keywords and meta tags in order to submit to Japanese search engines, at least 1 page in Spanish optimized with Spanish keywords in order to submit to Hispanic search engines and so on...

I strongly suggest that you watch our online presentation which explains clearly how to get top rankings on foreign search engines with only 1 entry page per language (click on the following link or copy-paste it into your web browser): http://www.*****.net/*****

From the Japanese Google to the German Yahoo, from the AOL in Spanish to the MSN in Chinese, get users to find your website when searching with YOUR KEYWORDS in their Native language.

Please call me at ***** or email me and let's work on giving your website the true international exposure which it deserves to have with foreign native online users!!

Regards,

Martin *****, Ph.D.
