Why is the UK media at large failing to report the fact that Pakistan and the US are on the brink of war?

if its true then there will be a media blackout on it if they are preparing something, like moving troops/planes nearer.

i believe something will happen soon as pakistan insist that they are combating terrorism yet harbour all the most wanted in their country!!!

And the UK give them £650 million a year in aid!!WTF!!!

facts are that most of the air power we/the US/france used against libya is still out in the region.

they will be after Iran next as well!!

it's not that simple....

the americans don't get pakistan....

the goverment does not and never has run the border regions , these places run themselves ... the US does not get that....


the corrupt government officals in pakistan are being paid by the US to attack these people .... the goverment officals make out it is difficult and they need more money and that the pakistan army is helping the people living in the border regions and therefore they can't do anything about it.

the truth is .... these are poor tribal people .... who live by a code of an eye for an eye .... everytime they are attacked by drones , shelling whatever and an innocent child or women is killed and thousands have been killed .... the entire village is then honour bound to avenge the death of the children.... so they join the taleban and help attack american and pakistan soldgiers untill they have killed some ... then they go back to their fields ....

the us just does not get that .... if they were more careful in targeting the terrorists ... the villagers would not join in to help and the insurgency would die out .

As there is no police, no army , no law in these regions other than the tribe this honour code of avenging the death has kept the peace for hundereds of years .

since if someone from another tribe kills one of yours the entire village , tribe will attack them... and this has kept the law.

the americans have come in and killed lots of innocent women and children so even the villagers who hate the taleban are forced to join them to avenge the killing of thier fellow tribe members.

If the US ever figure that out. what they should do is not bribe the corrupt officals in the pakistan goverment , but pay compensation or blood money to the tribes so that they then do not have to attack the americans .....

but we live in a mad world... one the signs of madness is doing something that doesn't work for 10 years and then just thinking if we do it some more it will work in the end !!!

It's true, what Brum says... these people aren't nationalist they are tribalist. Same as Afghan, they don't care about the national structure or dying for their country. It means very little to them because most of them don't recognise it..

What is truly shocking though is that we have been here before for hundreds of years, we haven't learnt anything with the blood of 5000 soldiers and countless civilian lives that couldn't have been learnt by reading books and diaries from history. Imran Khan the former cricketer is well worth a listen on this stuff.

The US and Pakistan won't go to conventional warfare though, Pakistan have the bomb and that means no ground troops will go in on that one.

However the Pakistan security forces do collude with the Taliban in Afghanistan and aide them, that is beyond doubt. Yet they fight against the Taliban in their own country... so you work that one out...

It is one hell of a mess out there and I doubt anyone has a real clue who they are fighting against.

But our media have been blacking stuff out for years......... Al Jazeera v BBC, Al Jazeera everyday for balanced reporting.

Saying that watching tonight's bits... Are we already at war with Iran?

2 Army bases in Iran have been blown to bits in last few weeks and "it wasn't Iranians that did it" was the quote from Michael Portillo.

Not a bleep on the news over here.. No wonder they feel like storming the Embassy and as No Israeli or US Embassy resides there it appears they aimed it at us.
