Nick, I saw exactly what you saw around midnight for around 20 minutes. Last Saturday I saw exactly the same. I live in Chorlton South Manchester and I thought they were from Old Trafford but have done some research and I cannot find any event that would light up the sky in the fashion as we witnessed last night. I am glad someone else saw them I thought I was going looney tunes

i saw it from my bedroom window lancashire area, it was not blackpool as I know which direction it was from my house.

This was a real ufo sat in the night sky

That solves the mystery then.

Surprising that the searchlights weren't mentioned in any prominent media. Maybe part of the publicity stunt was to make it go viral with people discussing it over social media. If so, it worked.
