The hero might be getting trouble - meanwhile, look at the crap the student says in this article...does he forget we can all see what really went on? Tosser.

No matter what ticket the lad thought he bought, legally he didn't have a valid ticket and was trespassing. Refusing to cease committing the act of trespassing on the railways he was ejected from private property, it's exactly like a doorman ejecting someone from private property and allowed as long as proportional. The lad was asked several times politely to leave and no punches were thrown.

Lawyers will be queuing up to get this guy off if it ever went any further. However the Scottish legal system usually applies more common sense than the English one in incidents such as this, so doubt it would go that far.

I wish the father and son would get their stories straight, as they seem to conflict slightly.

The story is that he got on to the train at Edinburgh Park, which is an unmanned stop. Had he gone through one of the two main stations in Edinburgh, then he would have had to go through barriers, so there's probably a better chance of someone trying to dodge a fare at that station.

Has anyone tried to buy a single ticket going the wrong way from a ticket machine? Not the easiest thing to do.

The ticket would also display when the ticket was bought, so surely the conductor would know immediately he was full of it?

He said he wanted back on the train for his bag, but someone followed "the bigman" up to the door with his bag and it was "placed carefully on the ground" before he tried to get back on the train.

If he is diabetic, should he really have been drinking?

You would think he would hold his hands up and say it's a fair cop, but he's obviously trying to save face.

No he's just trying to get a payday via the f&*(ing ambulance chasing no-win-no-fee lawyers.

The guy who filmed it had it right on the tv interview this morning saying there was over 5mins of verbal abuse before that...

Maybe they should have thrown him off while the train was moving?

Often the cry is Politicians shouldn't get involved in legal issues.... Then how do we the public vote for a change?

I really don't want to get like America but they vote in and out their prosecutors and this type of nonsense doesn't happen as much as over here because they would be voted out.
